10 quarts of collant won't fit 200

brickers,

i changed the waterpump on my 1990 240 dl wagon this week. in the process i drained the collant from the lower radiator hoze.

my manual says my car holds 10 quarts of collant but i could only get 8 quarts in (4 quarts of distilled water and 4 quarts of prestone).

i have driven the car about 50 miles since and the resivoir still shows full.

does that mean 2 quarts of collant remain in the system even after draining the collant from the bottom of the rad?

please advise. thank you.
