Rear cam seal(s) 900 1993

Hi,

I have oil leaking from the rear end of my cyl head in 945 turbo. Not all that much but happens after hard acceleration, smells when drops fall on exhaust.

When inspecting from below I can see a drop of oil hanging on distributor plate edge, have not looked inside distributor. Suspect oil leaking from rear cam seal(s), no other seal leaks, oil filler cap sucked onto cap seat at idle by pretty good suction so there seems to be pretty good crankcase ventilation.

Looked in FAQs and could not find a good description on how to change the rear seal(s) but found link there to picture on Mike Ponte´s pages http://www.mikeponte.com/volvo/dist.htm showing a large O-ring in the right-hand top image on that page. Is this the only seal that needs to be changed , or is there a smaller one on the axle through the plate that I should do as well when I am in there? Any tricks or tools needed?
