We have harness! 86 245DL, re-install questions 200 1986

Hello,

Took the day off today and after two aborted attempts in the past scored that covented engine harness for $29 down a the PUP and it is a beauty. Still has the Volvo Part Tag on it and the donor car was an 86 244DL with a manual tranny. So all of the connections appear to be the same. There are a couple of really hidden connections down in there. Going to have to redo the Battery connections, they are not good and it has the bad 25 amp fuse connector. That will be replaced with a water tight model. But other than the battery connectors and wiping off oil and grime it is in excellent shape.

Do you have to pull the harness through the intake manifold on the reinstall? Sure seems that would have made more sense to go down past the manifold and then down. That is a tight fit in there. Pulled the intake manifold today on the Pick Ur Part car today part for pactice and part because thought that would help remove the haness. But want to try and not have to do that to Inga if possible.

Also anything to check or watch out for? Took pictures and numbered the harness. But will not install until later in the year unless things change. Any and all input are welcome. Was going to buy one of the oneline harness, but this was just too good to pass up.

Regards,

PT
