Thanks everyone who responded to my last post about my waterpump troubles. Using the "stick on the ground" technique finally worked. Screwing in the bolts gave me a minor heart attack. I can't think of a more perfect formula for cross threading than this one. And in this case it would have been cross threading into the engine block. Fun! Luckily everything went in smoothly. Hopefully I will never have to change this again (or at least not for a very, very long time).
Now to tackle the radiator...
