I own a 92 240gl that was origionally from california, I do not need the egr and was wondering if i remove it will it cause the ecu to turn on the check enging light?

also it has the catalytic convertor with the o2 sensor on the cat, when i replace it with a straight pipe, it is ok to use the same o2 sensor, or is another one needed?
