Going over a speed bump at a slow speed, I felt what I think was the rear shocks bottoming out. So - replacement is in the near future.
Went to Sears for other reasons, but got a price quote on the Monroe Sensa-track, $49.99 per side, plus tax title and drive-out. Plus, work done before Feb 2 gets free labor. Tempting. Free labor sorta takes away the DIY fun and savings.
So I wonder, is the rear shock job on this IRS car a DIY?
Can it be a potential disaster if done by a non-Volvo shop?
Does it require an alignment afterwards?
Why Monroe's? Several BB 960 IRS owners have said they do well, and that the good ones that we know and love for the other models are not available for the later model 960's.
Thanks to all,
Bob
