1983 Volvo 245...hit in the front left fender :-( 200 1983

Hello,

Well, someone pegged my 83 245 this evening on my way home from work. Rush-hour traffic....kid gunned his car to get across an intersection from a stop sign and didn't see me coming. Unfortunately, my Volvo took the hit in the front left fender, just above my wheel.

To make it short, it appears the majority of the damage (besides the damage to the fender) is to the strut assembly. I can see where it is bent just behind the wheel. My wheel now drags the strut assembly (I got lucky though, the wheel is not bent...had it checked at the tire shop half a block from my house). I put my spare wheel on to get it the 2 blocks from the accident back to my house.

My question, I suppose, is whether anyone out there has an used strut tube and upper strut mount that would fit this car. I needed new strut inserts anyway, and it just so happened that they arrived in the mail to-day. So, I do not need all of that, unless someone felt it would just be simpler to mail an entire assembly.

If anyone out here has one they would be willing to send my way, please let me know. I will pay for shipping and the part and whatever else. My problem is that I am living in an area where Volvos are very very few and far between, and this is my only means of transportation at the moment. My location is Wise, VA (24293).

If there is anyone out there, I would be forever greatful. Thanks so much to anyone for your help.
