looking for another volvo 200 1980

I have found a 1983 244 with 134K (kilometers). It is a second hand, and the guy wants $1000 for it.

Is it worthwhile to change my 1980 244 with 400K (kilometers) for it?

Generaly speaking, wich engines to avoid in 240s before 1988?
