With the CE light on, car cannot be submitted for emissions testing. Light came on June 30, sticker expired June 30, ugh. AutoZone freebie scan said it was a "malfunction in the evaporative emissions control system".
After posting, considering new charcoal cannister, getting under the car and inspecting all the hoses and tubes, etc., Wife.sig said "I am off today, we will go to the dealer and get the light off and the new sticker on."
We did. $245.00 Replaced the EGR valve. Passed the emissions test. Good sticker now.
Here is the question. I am sure the job was one I could to, using a Volvo part from VPI-Houston, or a mail-order place BB advertiser. ($142.00 dealer price + tax.)
BUT - where is the EGR valve located?
Thank you in advance,
Bob
