hydraulic lifters 700 1989

In need of assistance.i recently replaced the hydraulic lifters in my 89' 16 valve,along with the
timing belts ,seals and gaskets.i'm having a difficult time getting it started again.
I tried to fill the lifters with oil as best i could,don't know how successful that was,but obviously
something wasn't complete.any 16 valve lifter experts out there,please help!
