140 Drive Shaft on 122 120-130 1966

I have recently secured myself a 1968 142s with overdrive to use as a parts car for a couple of project cars. One of the project cars is a 1966 122s with a M40. I would like to put the M41 into the 122. It seems to me that I have read or heard somewhere that the front driveshaft from the 140 will be the correct length to use on the 122 in the M41 installation. Is there any truth to this, or am I just dreaming up a reality that I would derive pleasure from?
