cooling fan-a/c condenser connections 700

A little help please

I was looking at the radiator and A/C condenser on my 1993 945T and I notice something interesting.

It appears that I dont have a coolant temp. sensor on my radiator. there are hoses attached to the radiator and that is it.

As for my cooling fan, I only see one wire running from the cooling fan to the cooling fan relay. In addition, there is three sensors/wires running from the A/C condenser to the cooling fan relay also.

if the A/C is not on, I can run all I want and the cooling fan won't turn on. However, when the A/C is on, then the colling fan is on.

is this a normal set up? I dont like the fact that the cooling fan will only work when the A/C is used.

regards

JC
