Pulled A Radiator from A Junkyard ....How can I tell if its good.???? 200 1991

Hello all I pulled a radiator for my 1991 volvo 240 from a junkyard. the radiator was off of a 760 or 740 I dont remember which one ,anyway it is the same size as my old volvo one except the I pulled is metal not plastic and aluminum like my old one . the brand is modine and it looks pretty good .It has 2 connections for the transmission cooler lines , the overflow spout and a hole where I put a plug in it .I'm not sure what the hole is for ,but like I said i put a rubber ring in it and then the sealer plug . the reason I took this radiator is because a piece of plastic from the neck of my radiator broke off. Now I saw a blackstone one there also ,but upon looking at the neck it was brittle . How can I tell if this radiator is good ?????? I 've been hearing about the nissin radiators ,that they are very good but I wanted to save money and try this way first. Ok. will this work ,and is modine a good brand . All replies are appreciated . thanks rf64
