I posted this earlier, and got a good reply but which left me with my basic question unanswered. (I should have worded my question better.)
"I have a 1990 740GLE with 217K on it. On the bottom of the air intake manifold, there are two nipples; the front one has a hose connected to it, but the rear nipple doesn't. What connects to this rear nipple? What should I do to get this connected correctly again?
I've been working on the care, cleaning the throttle plate, air and vacuum hoses, etc., and might have dislodged a hose accidently."
The nipples I am referring to are of relatively small diameter, and come out from the bottom of the intake manifold, and point STRAIGHT down. These nipples are actually UNDER the manifold. The front nipple has a hose which goes down and joins a bunch of other hoses leading up onto the driver's side fender. Waht I am wondering about is the rearmost nipple - nothing is connected to it. What hose should fit there? What is unconnected? Right now, this nipple is dripping a bit of oily black ooze.
Thanks so much.
