Well, the Financial Gods have finally showered some filthy lucre down on my garage, and I at last have some Portraits of Ben Franklin with which to obtain a decent BW35 tranny for my long-crippled '71 164 with column shift.

So far, the search has been in vain. The standard answer is, "Boy, those are really getting hard to come by. Better plan on a rebuild of yours."

The National Parts Hotline only found some at a yard in Maine, and they won't ship to Arizona. The Revolvestore in Tucson has nothing.

DETAILS: This BW35 is British-built, sometimes called the "Letchworth type." The neutral-safety switch is mounted horizontally. The tail-shaft housing is the short, stubby type--not the elongated, pointy version. The ID plate is blue-colored. HOWEVER, with some tinkering (and a smokin' price), I might utilize one of the later green-plate (floor-shift) units, with vertical NS switch.

ATTENTION, FYI in Tucson: didn't you go through this same search last summer? Can you give me any guidance?
