UPDATE Frozen Strut Retaining Nut UPDATE 900

Well,

Thanks for all the great advice. I did take the assembly off of the car tried my best to heat it with the the heat source I had and I used two pipe wrenches, one backed up against the ground and the other on the nut with a breaker bar. Still no luck, and the nut looks really bad now.

So I kinda bummed, my ride has *three* new bilstein touring shocks/struts, new tie rod ends, ball joints, poly strut rod bushings, and new end link bushings. I Was really hoping to finish the job last night but I ended up putting it back together with the orogonal shock in there. Its my wifes daily driver.

Not many GOOD boneyards close by. I did oddly enough find a complete passenger side assembly on ebay w/ no rust for $100. And its already off the car!! I'm thinking the $100 might be a good deal versus wrestling on the ground trying to remove an assembly from the one pull-your-own junk yard that is nearby.

Thanks all ... I've been away for a long time but its good to back on the board

Matt
