No spark condition 200 1986

In a continuation of a post a couple of weeks back, I'm looking to diagnose a no spark condition. Test so far, I hear the fuel pumps come on while cranking, hopefuly ruling out Hall Sensor in distributor problem, the timing belt is fine by looking thru the oil fill while remote cranking, the wire from the ICU to the coil #1 terminal has continuity for the grounding signal. There is power to the coil when key on. A test light on coil terminal #1 dims slightly when cranking which I take as a grounding signal from the ICU. I substituted the spark plug wire for the coil wire, grounded the plug but get no spark still. The resistence tests for the coil per the Bentley manual are within spec. I'm leaning toward a bad coil or an ICU if the dim test light is a result of decreased voltage and not on/off grounding signal. What other tests can I perform to identify the exact problem short of buying a used coil and ICU to test with other components? Since both of these components are normally robust for this model I'm wondering if there is not somewhere else to be testing.
Thanks to Bruce Young and Art Bernstein for the help I've received in my original post.
