So I just picked up a new car ... a 85 245 turbo intercooled. Pretty nice car actually. Interesting thing is, it's originally a canadian car. The one thing I notcied is that it had rubber padded bumbers (like a 70's car) instead of the plastic over aluminum ones standard on us cars. Why did they change? I think the early style is harder to damge and just seems better. The only thing I can think of is weight savings (is the early one steel??) but I don't think it's that much.
Also, are there any other differnce between canadian cars of that vintage and us?
Thanks ~ John
