Does anyone have one, or an exploded diagram of the internals?
- There's a hose that comes up from the main sump on the driver's side to the upper rear of the oil trap.
( this pulls vapor from the lower crankcase, above the oil level and below the level of the crankshaft).
- The hose coming out of the top of the oil trap goes to the flame trap.
(vacuum from the intake side creates a negative pressure inside the engine and burns any and all vapors in the engine).
- There's two ports in the block where the trap is attached. The lower port is a smaller diameter than the upper one. I assume the bottom port is the drain back for the seperated oil
(??????? What does the TOP oil trap port access ?????????) I assume it's pulling vapors from that portion of the block. It's fairly high up and towards the front of the engine. But why when you're already pulling vapors from the sump?
Thanks,
