Hello again y'all. A few Q's:

1. How to remove air control switch cluster on 58 PV444? It seems "springy" when I push the bottom in, but I cannot figure out why. Might need to get a mirror back there to see better.

2. Possible to fix cracked steering wheel horn "D" ring? (It's cracked through in two places, both on the metal "D" ring part. Plus the clear plastic Volvo disc is split in half. I tried a very strong metal-based epoxy on the metal, no luck. Possible to weld this metal? Looks like some type of die cast.) Easy/difficult to find a replacement ring? I can get one in "fairly pitted" shape for $50.00.

3. Will headliner pn 98762 work on my PV 444? (This is for normally for 544, years 63-66, white.) Should this come with metal cross hanger "ribs"? I can get one new for $73 plus shipping. Should I jump on this or have the upholsterer create one?

4. When refinishing, do most people remove the tar-backed waffle soundproofing paper/material in places where it is not in too bad a shape? Is it easy to find replacement material for this stuff? Some of mine (especially on the higher interior areas like in the back) is okay while I must remove the rest (floors, wheel wells, etc.)

5. Should I get a radio and antenna (car didn't come with radio or antenna, but has the faceplate for one) or should I get the original "radio delete plate" with the chrome "444" on it? Are these available anywhere?

6. Why can't I find a body shop/restorer to repair my body and paint my car????? When I do find one, how much should I expect to pay? I don't need the car to be in "showroom floor condition" when completed.

My favorite is attached. :) Yes, that is the replacement driver's side floor pan, behind the seat beam. That was Dad's handiwork. He was the best. (It will be replaced w/ a new floor pan.)
