We ran our last race of the season with the ITB prepared 142E at Hallett on Sunday, and finished with another win in COMMA PA class. Sort of a hollow victory, as the weekend started with 5 PA cars, but when the feature race was run on Sunday afternoon, there were only 2 of us left running. This will put us 2nd in points for the year, just behind the car I beat Sunday for the win... a Porsche 912. He finished 7 of the 8 races for the season, we just finished 4 of the 7 that we ran. But at least the 3 DNF's that started our season were offset with a good finish; one 2nd and three wins in our last 4 outings.
George Downs made it down from Bartlesville in time to watch us run the feature race, so we had the pleasure of putting a face with another familiar Brickboard name (Walrus3). Anyway, a pleasure to meet you, George... hope we can do it again sometime!
We will not be running again until about March, so plenty of time to thoroughly go over the car this winter. We are thinking about moving ourselves to a different class (COMMA GT3), where we have much more latitude with car preparation. There is also more competition in that class, in terms of lap times *and* entries.
