Diffrential gear oil through a straw S90-V90

Took the fill plug out of the diff, this evening-not enough room to get the hose from the vacuum machine into the fill hole and turn down to the bottom of the diff housing. I'm wondering about using a samller hose on the end of the machine, like 6 inches of tubing, from the supply line to a oil gauge for instance, will the gear oil be too thick to go through something that small.
Any ideas appreicated.
