760 turbo o/d solenoid 700

Can anyone tell me how the o/d solenoid is fitted to my 760 2.3 turbo intercooler wagon. also there appears to be another wire, leeding to what would appear to be another solenoid. Any ideas welcome.
I have looked at the Brickboard faq site. I would like this info before I scramble under.
