I changed the oil in my '93 945t over the weekend using Mobil 1 5w30. I had been running 10w30 through the summer and figured the majority of the heat had passed in Detroit. When I logged the change in the service book, I noted that Volvo is recommending 10w30 for temperatures above 68. It will likely be below 80, but certainly above 68 for much of September. Am I paranoid to be concerned? The car has 95,000 miles, and wasn't leaking with 10w30 synthetic, so I figured 5w30 might offer better cold weather performance and slightly better mpg. Any comments?
