How to Replace Front Bumper Shocks?? Anyone? 900

I need to replace the driver's side front bumper shock of my sister's Volvo 940. HOnestly I have no idea how to do it. I removed the bumper. I can see that there are two bolts which go through the "box" (case) that houses the shock. Do i just need to remove those, insert the new one and put them back? Does anyone know how to do it? I'd really appreciate any info and advice.

How to Replace Front Bumper Shocks?? Anyone? 900

Those 2 bolts come out and there's one more that goes straight down through the frame rail in the engine compartment, bloody big sucker that's going to take a bit of grunting and a long extension to remove. Aside from that, now that the bumper's off it's a piece of cake. Just don't stand in front of that compressed shock, treat it like it's dynamite with a lit fuse. I believe Volvo recommends drilling a 1/8" hole into it, through rags, wearing safety glasses & gloves, to relieve any residual pressure although it is designed to vent the gas charge once it's compressed beyond a certain point. Free advice, treat it as such, I'm just going from memory on that.
