My clutch is losing its suction and push. What goes first, the main cylinder or the slave cylinder? Are rebuild kits available? Can the main hydraulic clyinder be repaired without removing it completely from the peal assembly? Thanks to the experienced?

    When the slave cylinder goes there's usually evidence of a leak around the boot which is pretty easy to spot if you get under the car. The master cylinder can leak back inside the car sometimes but not always. I have seen master cylinder rebuild kits but they're becoming very rare. Most folks just elect to replace the whole thing but it is a little expensive. I know it's another $75 or so but if you do the master cylinder you probably should also do the slave too.
