1990 745 Turbo with manual tranny 700

I came across a mint condition 850T SW that was too good to pass up. So now I'm agonizing over what to do with my 1990 745 Turbo. It has a manual transmission, it runs great, it has a great body but like most old cars it has some minor issues. I know there aren't too many 745T's with manual tranny around and I'm wondering whether it is worth preserving or not. I would appreciate your thoughts.

I'd keep it if I were you. RWD is just more fun (and the rear-drive Volvos actually do better in snow than most FWD cars).

So what is the mileage, minor issues, location, and planned asking range?

I suppose whether it is worth saving depends on it's condition. It has 195K miles. The good: runs great, new battery, recent brakes, recent timing belt and water pump, good tires, alloy wheels, extra set of snow tires on steels, excellent body, no rust anywhere. The bad: paint is badly faded, AC stopped working, some oil leaks, headliner stained, stereo lights go off intermittently. I'm close to Albany, NY. My guess is that it is worth around $1000. I do not want to deal with local sub-thousand dollar car buyers. I'm hoping to pass it on to a Volvo enthusiast.

Is this the same 1990 silver on black cloth wagon that was for sale around a year and a half ago? From the description it's worth more than $1000, at least here in the midwest where a 5 spd 745 Turbo is very hard to find. I paid $1750 for my 1988 with 186k and more problems than what you've described and I thought that was a fair price. If the car were closer I'd buy it for $1000 right away.
