MY CAR IS MAKING WEIRD UNEXPLAINED NOISES. HELP! 900 1994

OK.All of you know ive had some issues with my 94 944 non turbo. The car is running exceptionally well now, except for. The car surges a bit while driving (rpms fall and rise ever so slightly) checked everything iwas told to check and found no faults., the car after driving a short distance sounds like i have and electric motor not an engine (car seems to buzz, but cant narrow down where its from the tranny or motor), and with the heavy rain weve been having in south florida, sometimes i hear sloshing water from the from of th car, but i cant find where from. if any of you ever had these problems please let me know how you found and cured them.

    I have a whir/buzz noise when the car is running cool. I was told that is was my alternator bushings wearing out and causing noise on the belts. I replaced them but the noise continues. I first thought that it was the tranny - I had just flushed it and the PS system, but now I dunno. My alt belt started squeeling today, so maybe it is a belt.

    Sloshing noises. Odd, check all your doors and lower well for standing water. Steve probably has the most likely suggestion.

    More omminously, I was getting a buzzing/hissing noise from my fuel pump/filter setup when my FPR died in my dual pump 1986 740. You think it's coming from your engine bay?

    Sloshing water can sometimes appear in the a/c evaporator when the firewall drain is plugged, or in the cowl if the side drains are plugged by leaves. See the FAQ for repairs.

    Maybe fuel pump buzzing (will do that when really hot). As far as water ???? As far as idle, I take it that you checked for air leaks at vacuum lines and air intake hoses. How about throttle body and idle control valve cleaning? If air delivery is ok, then how about injector seals (good steady air and petro delivery = good steady combustion) ... have they been replaced.

    I've hit on the inexpensive fixes first that are common issues and easy to fix.

    Go from there, and as always, check the FAQ.
