Any Better Serivce Manuals 700

I picked up a Chiltons for the 90 740 Turbo Wagen and was throughly un-impressed with it. It is alright but not as well written as a Bently that I use for VW's.

Is there anything better out there, also is there an electronic catalog (again the ETKA is the VW equivalent) for the average user?

TIA for the information.

Brian

Anything is better than Chilton. I think they have a form with boxes for all
the major makes of cars for each model and they feel they have to have
SOMETHING so they can check off all the boxes. If you don't really need a
manual they are some help. I use the green Volvo manuals and sometimes
(for carbs, etc) Haynes specialized manuals or Bosch manuals for FI.

Buy the Volvo OEM Wiring Diagram book (around $30) which is superb. Haynes European 940 manual, sold by IPD ($25), is also good.

In all honesty, I got more useful info out of the FAQS here than anything else. I have Chilton and Haynes but they just don't know how and what I'm gonna screw up better than my fellow brickheads. Thanks guys. Joe
