1995 960 Check Engine Light? 900

Greetings!

I have checked the FAQ's and cannot get the check engine light to go out. This is not the service reminder light. It set a code while using some intake system cleaner. Am I missing something here? Any guidance would be truly appreciated.

Thanks!

    Dear Rabid Koala,

Good p.m. and may this find you well. What is the code?

See the FAQs, under FEATURES, above, for obtaining and interpreting codes.

Post back, please, with your findings.

    Yours faithfully,

    spook

This may help you, check the code and that will give the info on whats going on but, to reset the code, unhook the positive side of the battery and leave off for a few minits. That should take the light away.
      Hope that helps

You may have more than one code. Before you can clear codes you must wait for the first code to repete. After you have read all your codes then you can hold down the button for 10 seconds when the light comes on steady hold down button again for another 5 seconds. That will clear the codes. If you disconnect the battery, the computer will have to go through the relearn process for Idle and a host of other things. Better to clear codes the right way. Good luck, Pauli
