where to buy body putty? 120-130

Where do you buy the body putty that goes under the fuel tank flange and in the seams of the car?

Are there different kinds? What is the advantage of them over the original?

A body and paint supply place. A couple of them in our area: Pierson's (sp) on Main and about 3500 South and Hillcrest Glass and Paint (or Paint and Glass) on 700 East and Fort Union.

    See ya.

    Butyl putty.
I always find this at the local canopy, trailer, and motor-home supply store.
The gray putty is better than the black sticky stuff because the black stuff is too sticky.
    Silicone is a no-no.
    Best,
    Shayne.

I got mine at a hardware store in the RV section... works great.

Eastwood markets a brush-on putty like used on welded seams on most older cars, I have a can of that too but rarely use it (yet!).

      Oh, and IPD! 120-130

I brought this in because I thought it might be nice to offer the original, real-deal, stuff.
      IPD #1049
      $12.00/roll
One roll will do the gas tank and then some.
