Radiator Upper Hose Nipple S90-V90 1997

May need a new radiator soon....Saw some crust around the neck of the nipple and seepage down the radiator. Pulled off the hose and saw the crack in the plastic nipple. It extends from the lip to nearly the neck. Filled the crack with Permatex and wrapped with teflon tape, double clamped. So far, so good. Easy job to replace the radiator?

Yep, same thing happened to mine. Seems the metal reinforcing sleeve corrodes swells and causes the plastic to crack.

Simple to replace radiator, extremely costly and difficult to replace head and head gasket. Don't drive this car: get a new radiator ASAP.

What he said. You can order the radiator from FCP or some other place, or pay a premium at a volvo dealer. Replace the hoses too. Very easy job to do. Dont delay.
