Gas tank leakage from the very upper top of tank PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! 700

Hello guys!

Problem! I have a gas tank leak (moderate stream/drip) coming from the upper left hand side of my tank. Are there any rubber hose and or steel lines that feed into the top of the tank that I should be aware of? The stream seems as though it is coming from the left side (top) and basically running down by the left side tank strap and dripping oof of the floor board (STINKS)! I have not have the chance to view the exact area, I am just hopeful that maybe a rubber line and or the connection at the top of the tank is just loose and or is need of a gasket and or new lines? How common are these type of leaks with volvos? If it is the top of the tank small hole)could I simply patch it up with some gas proof epoxy? Please all of your help and or suggestions/experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Best Regards!

If I remember right there are two or three rubber lines connecting at the top of the tank. One is the line from tank forward to main fuel pump, the second is the gasoline return line from engine back to tank. The lines attach to, if I remember right, metal connections going thru the tank "cap" at the top of the tank and the fix of your problem might be as simple as identifying which one that is leaking, most likely at the clamp, cutting off this distal end and reconnecting and clamping it back on. You access this area by removing an approximately 6" wide metal lid in the car bottom (at the top of the rear axle "tunnel") in the left side above the tank. If you have a 745, then you find the lid under the cloth-covered bottom panel which is removed by undoing a couple of screws and then sliding the panel away with quite a bit of pushing. My bet would be a leak at the return line connection.
