Has anyone used AAMCO Synthetic Blend Mercon –V ATF? 900

I did a fluid flush on my transmission today. Since the fluid was very dark, I wanted to run regular Mercon-III for a while to get everything cleaned up and then re-flush and fill with Mobil-1 Synthetic ATF. At Auto-zone, I found Aamco Mercon–V Synthetic Blend ATF, the bottle states it can replace Mercon-III, so I’m giving it a try. Really smoothed out the transmission, 1st to 2nd is barely noticeable, and it’s almost half the cost of Mobil-1. Has anyone used this before, any comments? I know I should have asked before putting it in, but I don’t plan on having it in very long.

Volvo uses GM Dexron II/III ... stick with that spec, not the Ford Mercon specs.

I have used ford spec merc-V in a '91 740 with no problems. the ford guys tell me merc III and merc V are not interchangable, in fords at least. of course Volvo RWD transmissions are not *delicate* like the fords.
