Just curious.....
I noticed there are quite a few high mileage Volvos
still on the road, and registered in high mileage club.
What are the requirements to qualify ?
If I have 500K on my car, yet I went through 3 engines,
6 Head rebuilds, 2 trannies....etc.
Where is the line drawn ?
If the only original part is the car chassis, is this OK ?

As far as I know it's the chassis that counts .... I'm on my 3rd engine and tranny ... just rebuilt this one and the tranny is, as we speak, getting a rebuild after it refused to engage anything but reverse. At one time ... before I had the history on my car, I was thinking of swapping in a V8 .... decided to stay stock(ish) when the mileage was researched ..... But .... probably could have gotten my mileage badges even if the drive line was no longer stock.

Good luck getting your badges. I've heard a lot of stories about how long this can take.

I have 418,000 on my PV544. Still going strong on its second engine, rebuilt B20 installed in 1991, over 100K on it now.
