Blackish Greyish smoke 140-160

My foot felt heavy earlier today, and during a trip to 6k rpms on the freeway entrance ramp I saw through the rearview mirror some greyish smoke. Not thick, I could see through it easily, no odd noises, sputtering, or loss of power. I have a 71 140 with a 2.2L overbore, headers, glass pack exhaust, and d-jet.
is something going wrong?

And now for something completely different.

Something going wrong? Prolly not... more than likely you simply shook loose the accumulated crud in the combustion chambers and exhaust system; especially if it's been a while since you did that particular isometric exercise with your right foot. In the good old days, we called it "...blowing the cobs out." AKA "Italian tune-up" in some circles.

*sighs with relief* I've heard of d-jets going dangerously lean around 6500rpm. and yes it has been a while since it's been up that high.

If the smoke was 'blackish greyish' it would be more likely to run rich, rather then lean though.
