I've recently moved from Austin to Cincinnati and need to find a good mechanic; I had such a great guy in Austin (J's Garage) and can only hope to find a shop like that here. If I drive up and they have a lot full of 15-20 year old Volvos, I will be thrilled. Thanks for your suggestions.

I don't know of any indy mechanics in Cincy, but I can recommend an excellent one here in Dayton if you don't mind the drive. Tremaine's Volvo Service, 2261 Arbor Road, Dayton. 937-294-4020.

Thanks for the recommendations, y'all, but unfortunately she isn't starting so I'll need to have her towed, and while Dayton's not too far to drive, it's kind of a lengthy tow. The list on this site has DP Imports listed -- are they ritzy? There is also a shop called Bavarian Automotive very close to me in downtown Cincy which I am inclined to check out.

Yes, Tremaine's is excellent according to friends of mine with 240's. He is a quick drive from Cincy....I do not have personal experience, use a indy garage in New Carlisle, Precision Automotive, very good also...
