I once took my 240 into a tire and brake shop for new struts. When I made my first turn out of the shop, I got a terrible kluncking sound in the front end. I immediately returned to have it checked and discovered that the mechanic hadn't bothered to tighten the upper bolts on the struts. I'd take it back and have it checked.
BTW, this wasn't the end of my problems. Several weeks later, I applied the brakes as I was exiting an expressway and had the brake pedal go all the way to the floor and the brake light come on. I took it to nearby brake shop and they repaired a broken brake line. Several weeks later, the same thing happened on the other side of town near my home. I took it to the brake shop around the corner and asked them to take a look at the problem. They called me back and suggested that I bring a camera with me. Upon close inspection, they discovered that the problem with the brake line resulted from the brake line bracket being hack sawed off of the strut housing. Without any support, the brake line was destined to fail. I took the pictures to the origianl shop to show them what they had done to my car. They just shrugged it off and refunded the cost of labor and the extra repairs. I haven't gone back to that chain since for anything.
