front brake rotor conversion on 1986 volvo 740 GLE 700

I've been wanting to update my 1 piece brake rotor setup to a 2 piece system. if i convert,do i haft to change my brake calapers as well?? is the spindle hub assembly the same as it would be on a 240 series. needing help on this, are the brake rotore the same or diffenert size's?? thanks

When converting to the separate hub and rotor, you don't change the caliper. Unless you convert to the Jumbo brakes found on 1991 turbos and 1992+ 740s and 940s, and 1992-94 960s.

The brake rotors are the same size, just not made one piece with the hub. You can upgrade rotor size with simply changing the caliper holding brackets.

Check the FAQ. There is a very good section on the whole proceedure of replacing brake rotors and what calipers work with certain mods. I replaced my 2 piece rotors with the larger 2 piece rotors and John Sargent' help was great.
