what's the highest price you've been given on an oil filter?

What's ther highest price you've heard for a Volvo filter from a dealer?
I was asked to pay $16 yesterday, that's a 300% markup!

Chris,

The Mann filter mentioned in NYC's post is the very same filter Volvo sells except it has Mann painted on it instead of Volvo. Mann makes oil filters for Volvo.

You can buy them by the case, as many of us BB's do, at fcpgroton.com
$4 each or $35 for ten. Much better than $16 a pop!!!

Check out : http://www.fcpgroton.com/volvo240tuneup.htm

The last place I'd buy Brick parts is at a Volvo dealership, Bolton Volvo being the exception. You can often find the same OE manfacture's parts elsewhere for considerably less.

Hopes this helps and saves you some money.
