M41 upgrade 140-160 1968

Hi again, I forgot to mention that I am thinking about installing a B20e engine with M41 transmission upgrade. The problem is the donor car is a 75 240 series. I was wondering if the drive shaft would work in my 68 142.

Thanks,
Chris

The drivetrain will be about the same... the structure of the 240 isn't the same though ins at least some places. There is a chance that the transmission crossmember might not be the same.

Driveshaft flange size might also be different.

The bulk of the parts will be a direct bolt in.

I think so. I do not see why it would not. I am pretty sure the length of the car is the same and the rear end is the same. Very nice engine. Very nice transmission. Nice ignition too. Worth getting.
What type of fuel system are you planning to use?

I was thinking to use the stock fuel system, unless you know of any upgrades?

I think he was referring to using either the K-Jet that is on the '75, or the SU's that are more than likely on your older car.
