timing belt 900

With Minor Edit

Issue #1 - Should I change my timing belt if it has been 50,000 miles since the last timing belt change, but only 2.5 years?

Issue #2 - What would be damaged on a 940T v. a 960 if the belt breaks?

Better Safe than Sorry

B230FD/T (late 1993-95)engines have a 100k interval, not 50k. Since the B230 series are non-interference, the only problem you will have if the belt snaps is the engine will stop. In the B234 16valve and B6304 six cylinder engines your engine will stop for good as they are intereference.
