Sunroof issue/leakage 200 1986

I have a 86 240 and it looks like the gear box has gone (again). My sunroof is almost closed but has a slight gap on the driver's side toward the front of the car. Any ideas on how to close it? Is it possible to fix the gear box or reposition the sunroof? Thanks.

    Remove the handle and you should be able to yank the roof shut. Are you sure the gearbox is gone? Sometimes they jam short of closing if the gearbox and handle aren't aligned correctly.

    BTW - if you remove the headliner there are front and rear adjustments for the sunroof. Hey, but be careful if you mess with these, you could make things worse...
