Rear bushings replacement OEM vs. Poly 200

Hello All-

Has anyone done the rear control arm bushings with the poly replacements? They say you need to keep your old shells - so how do you get the old rubber out? Second would be- does anyone have any hints on how to easily press in and out the other bushings for the rear?

All bushing info and tips would be appreciated.

Phil

Actually, the iPd kit includes new shells; otherwise, you'd have to cut out the existing rubber, and scrape or burn out the rest of it to get it out. Such said, because the poly bushing reuses the existing shell, you can get away without the special tool if you put a little elbow into getting rid of the old rubber.

The rest of the bushings require a press to get out. 12-ton is a minimum, 20-ton is preferable.
