740 Parts 700

Hi Guys:
Before I put my 87 740 gle 8 valve 230 engine to rest I wud like to get some parts from it to possible use on a 90 740 gle 16 valve 234 engine.
Questions:
Are the distributors compatible?
Are the O2 sensors compatible?
How about that electric part(BOSH)screwed on to the driver's side front fender, next to the air filter box, with a wire connector into it? I don't know its name...
Any other parts worth salvaging? Rear end it's destroyed...
Tks
