Sunroof Adjustment 700 1985

Does anyone know if my sunroof is adjustable? The driver side is sagging and I’m having to place a fuse container in there to even them out. My interior is in mint condition. I’m afraid of the spring rains here in Wisconsin getting in and damaging my headliner. I have looked in the FAQ and not found much when it comes to adjustment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more info from me please feel free to ask.

Thanks in advance,
Stover

P. S. This is an electric sunroof controlled from the dash.

Haynes has reasonable information on SR adjustments, I have heard it may be possible to convert to manual operation.

All of the mechanics of my SR work fine. They just need adjustment. Conversion is not an option. I want to keep it looking as original as possible.

this is a generally simple operation. Pull your motor and adjust the position of the SR manually until you get it properly aligned. It can be a PITA because of the "dead spot" on the motor needing to correspond to the fully closed position.

It's pretty simple, it just takes a lot of trial and error to get it just right.

I also have a spare OEM hand crank and bezel cover if you want to go manual.
I wouldn't recommend it, myself

Open the sunroof to flip -up position. Pull down on the rear edge of the inner liner . Peek in there with a flashlight. You will see a spring on each side . Make a long hook from a coat hanger. Use it to unhook the springs. First notice how they sit attached. Close roof. Push liner back. Now you can see adjustment Allen screws in the four corners.
Adjust so that leading edge of sunroof is 1 MM lower than car roof.Adjust trailing edge 1 MM higher than car roof. This gives minimum wind noise.
close roof and hook the springs back on with the help of the coat hanger hook. Done.
