Hey MS'ers got a quick question 140-160

I've finally started my MS install and i'm trying to figure out the best placement for the IAT. I have the K&N cone on my D-jet intake which doesn't leave alot of room to mount it. I figure I have 2 options:

1. mount it in the chrome plate at the front of the cone filter, however I wonder if this area gets enough airflow for the sensor to function properly.

2. Mount it where the cold start valve is located on the intake manifold. I won't be needing that injector for MS. Would it get too warm here for the sensor to function properly?

Mount it in the airfilter. Just needs to be exposed to the air 140-160

I have heard that they are a little vibration intolerant and that life bolted to the intake manefold will be short. I had one brake while I was doing the install. My offset cone filter has a black rubber tip about an inch and a half around. I drilled a hole slightly smaller than the sensor and screwed it in. Seems to work fine.

What's wrong with the original spot? My 71 (soon to have MS) has the sensor screwed in the sheetmetal by the coolant resevoir.
