ABS problem 700

Hi all

I have a ABS problem with 89 740Ti

The ABS light it flashing on and off and the ABS relay under the dash is going berzerk. I removed that relay to stop it from burning out untill I can fix the problem

I noticed that the light goes on and off when I go over bumps and uneven roads

Does this mean one of the flexible wires from the sensor to the body has failed of is there a bigger problem

George

Wouldn't hurt to check connections and also remove cables/sensors and clean them up. They collect iron dust from the brake pads because the sensor tip is magnetic. If possible, check cable resistance with a known good one.
Clean teeth of sensor wheel in hub.

You may have other problems, but cleaning the two connectors by the struts that go to the sensors may help. Make sure the wires are pushed into the connector from the outside. sometimes they make a poor contact in the connector.
