clutch friction plate question 200 1977

hello,

i usually frequent the yahoo 1800-list group; but since i'm trying to put a B230 motor in my 1800, i might end up posting some questions here too.

SO, here's my question......can someone confirm or deny that the friction plate for a 262 with an M46 transmission is 9" in diameter and has a 1" with 10-spline hub? this is what an online database said, and it's what i need to make my current configuration work (B230 motor with an 1800 M410 transmission).

thanks in advance,

ryan

clutch friction plate question 200 1977

The ten spline input shaft was used to somewhere in the middle of the 1978 model year. After that, the 21 spine (or is it 22?) was used. So if the 262 is very early production it may well be 10 spline.
