down pipe 200

hey all, just a quick question
i have a 77 242 ....i think a couple months ago my motor mounts started to wear out...in turn it put stress on my exhaust pipe . between where the down pipe goes from two pipes into one and the cat is now cracked. my question is, is the down pipe the same on all 240 models?

No. There are diameter differences, there are differences in length (long ones without cat, shorter ones for the modern cat placement). Look at the online parts suppliers (I like FCP for having an easily navigable website, even if I don't end up buying a particular part from them). You don't mention what engine you have, but you probably should be able to find it in their listing. If it's the one I think you need it isn't very expensive.

No affiliation, just someone who finds their website useful to illustrate parts-related explanations.
